New Early War US army Jeeps
A range of Jeeps with Early War American crews and equipments in 20mm scale. The crew feature separate heads sporting Kelly Helmets. The beauty of this is that you can pose the heads as required adding character to the models. Classic early war American army, ideal for the pacific theater of operations.

Kit is made from highly detailed white metal parts. These are RAPID build and took me less than 10 minutes to build all 3 models. The basic jeep is moulded as a single casting with separate wheels, windscreen which can be build up or down, MG and mount. Crew and stowage are all that remain to be added. So a 5 minute build for each model, true rapid build in sturdy white metal that's easy to paint and designed to be handled.

Priced at £9.50 GBP for each model or £26.50 GBP for the set.

These look good. Loads of variety by using different heads and swopping crew figures around.

Just a shame the US didn't take part in the Early War.

Rubbish…1942 in the early war Pacific battles offers a whole range of interesting subjects using a real mishmash of kit equipments and tactile doctrines. I define Early war for my model subjects as upto mid 1942.

We are all welcome to our views, but 1942 is early war in the pacific.

Enjoy

Really great looking models for the US early war actions in the Pacific. Straight out of the scenes from Back to Baatan, American Guerrilla in the Philippines, They were Expendable, etc.

I define early war for US as time when soldiers were wearing dish pan helmets :)

Totally agree with Von Miligan and Bobgnar re: definition of Early War for the U.S. Here's my Dad in March 1942, most likely Basic Training.

Among Bobgnar's etc. is Bataan. Von M how about some some 31st Infantry Regiment or Marines figures along the way?

That Jeep with the water cooled M1919 is particularly splendid!

dvyws9 is from the UK. I won't say what I am thinking about ethnocentric viewpoints.

From a Chinese view point it is too bad Britain didn't participate in the early war (1936) I suspect.

Edit: Okay, that was out of line. I reported myself to Bill. I don't want to become as unpopular as… a person who inspired several TMPer's to get DH'ed for reacting to "R******'"s comments – which have not read – on another thread.

What I said about "early war" was true but it was not done graciously.

@Mute Bystander

Actually, I fully agree about the Early War in the Pacific starting around 1936.

Arguably the European part of the war started with teh Spanish Civil war.

But however you look at it, The USA wasn't involved in the Early War. That's not intended as a criticism, it's just ho wthings panned out.

Back to the models Gentlemen. If you want to debate when the war started, I suggest you do it somewhere else.

Cheers
