Looking for some Berlin 45 scenarios I can use or modify for Rapid Fire. 15mm preferred but most scenarios are scale independent. Looking to run at Hurricon 2015 (24-27 September in Orlando). Ideally would like several so can do several separate tables. We did this for several scenarios from the Rapid Fire Arnhem book and worked out very well. Would also consider Seelow Heights or and/or Konev's actions in the south. |

Two things come to mind. The first is that if you know someone who has the Advanced Tobruk System (ATS) and has the Red Victory/Fuehrer's Bunker sets you can use the scenarios from that. Those cover all of the fighting in the city and surrounding area. The second thing is that in an old issue of MW or WI (can't remember now) they did a two or three part series of a Russian river crossing and drive towards Berlin that would have involved a large number of tables. The series gave complete orders of battle for several fairly large formation and it looked like it would have been at least a day long event. |

Berlin 45 was the theme for WSS #11, available as a back issue (or at least a pdf) still: link |

The PBS series NAZI mega weapons had a very good episode on fortress Berlin. They showed how the city was to be defended and how the Russians got in with lots of little vignettes of skirmishes going on. You can probably catch it on Netflix or Amazon. Buy it here (Click on "more "to see the full list of episodes) link All in all this is been a good series, with lots of useful information. |
