Which is the closer size to being correct
1/75 Length: 57-64mm, Width: 21mm Height: 16mm
or
1/100 Size (LxWxH): Approx. 50x18x12mm

Does not look like a lot of difference to me.

Well a standard Ford Focus is about 4.3m long, which is 43mm in 1/100. Technically 1/100 is slightly overscale for 15mm.

1/75 is going to make a 6 foot man about 24mm tall.
