I am looking for sources for non-gw, non old crow, non antenocitis workshop Sci-fi 28mm APC, IFV,MRAPs & armored cars. I am fine with toys as long as they are approximately the right size. Tracked and wheeled options are fine. Anybody got any favorites they want to share?

These might just do the job for you for wheeled AFVs:

Note the large rear access ramp door that features on the kit. IIRC these are very close to 28mm to get the job done, and the price point is pretty nice as well currently via HobbyLink Japan:

EDIT: a further search of the interwebs yielded these poor quality photos that show off several 28mm figures next to one of these handy kits:

All of them use the same chassis/hull.

The 4 Wheeler has two pieces that cover the wheel wells for the centre wheels. The metal pins are the axles between the wheels. The clip together but can also be glued easily.

(I got a couple off a mate before he died a few years ago and was using them for my chimeras for my guard army – which has since been disposed of after falling out of like for that game).

Try looking at 1/48th or 1/35th scale models.

I prefer 1/35th since their size scales better with GW Infantry miniatures.

The Russian BA-64 looks like the inspiration for nearly every "Hard SciFi"/Post Apocalypse buggy. They go for about £13.00 GBP, not hard to mod.

Check out daemonscape.com for the old GZG 25-28mm vehicle range.

Though nominally a tank model, this versatile little $6 USD russian sci-fi tank kit can be assembled in a couple different APC or AFV versions.

My review of the kit is here…

…with some of the AFV variants shown.

My other suggestion would be the AVF's from Hobby Boss, and kitech that typically sell fro $15 USD shipped on ebay.
There's a LAV-25
auction
There's also a BTR-80 and an M3 and a LAV AT. All nice boxy vehicles that are easily sci-fi'ed. There's also a variety of MBT's circa early 90's, Merkava, Challenger, M1, etc…

Try some of these.

One of the joys of our hobby is wandering through toy stores, dollar stores, flea markets, and yard sales, and finding something great for gaming.

I have the AIrfix Coyote and Jackal and like them both for the scale.

Thanks for all the leads everyone! I decided to go with the kits from hlj because they were dirt cheap, I love how they look next to the void mini, and I got all the bits lying around to spruce them up.

I also saw this cheap little beauty on hlj hlj.com/product/ARIAR900/Mil
if all goes well it will fill my need for tracked IFV/APC as well!
