Why don't you just come out and admit that you are Cigar Box?
The least you could do is pay for the advertising.

I just love these mats actually. :)

I actually just love my Mom, but she is still my Mom……..

Fair enough. None the less you don't have to love Cigar Box. Don't bother clicking the link. It's just a vid.

Really, why all the negative responses? Every one. It really doesn't make any sense. Did any your moms never tell you if you having nothing positive to contribute or don't like the topic, then stay away from the keyboard?

So monger is enthusiastic about a product. Is that so bad? They are pretty nice mats. Seem to be versatile too. I think the only problem I see with the matts is the static features. If roads are printed on them they will always run the same way. Fields will always be in the same place. Etc.

Owning several of these mats, they are a great product. They are also fairly easy to modify by placing other terrain over static features you don't wish to be visible. For example, I covered a road with a tree line in one game :)

They aren't bad. I'm not sure why anyone would want a road permanently drawn on to their mat however: why is that road always in the same place every time we play? It makes sense for set piece historical battles like Gettysburg, but not very useful for generic gaming. I prefer to add the roads separately.

I own three of the Cigar Box battle mats and want five more. I've played everything on them from Civil War to World War I and SAGA. The trick is finding the mats that suit your purposes. If none do, then great but I still find them very useful and a good deal. No different to me than my Corsec nebula mat that I use for Klingon Armada.

The mats are very nice just the size is to small for our gaming club would like to see the mats bigger. I due own one and would buy many more if they were bigger.
