"Russian army is to get new amphibious armored engineer vehicles, equipped with machine-guns, electronic countermeasure devices and GLONASS navigation system and able to withstand temperatures ranging from -40°C to +40°C.

The Russian Defense Ministry is set to develop next-generation unified engineer vehicles for the country's armed forces. The new development and engineering project has been named "Gorets-O", the Russian equivalent of the word "mountaineer", Russia's daily newspaper Izvestia reported on Thursday.

Hi,

the photos doesn't show a new vehicle.
What I see is a T-90 based IMR-3 Combat Engineer Vehicle which is not amphibious.

Btw, this one is dated 2008, if I got it right, which doesn't meet the 1946-2005 timeframe.

At last, in my opinion, a nice looking machine with an interesting mine-plow/dozer arrangement.

Kind regards,
Benjamin

Looks similar to the IMR 72 which is current. Not exactly like the IMR 72 though.

Who makes an IMR-55 or -72 in 1/100 scale?

What my friend Grefbringer has said. (smile)

Lion in the stars,
I know shipyards has one in 1/144 so he could do you one in 1/100 but it would not be cheap. If you really wanted one you could send him a note via the Shapeways shop.
