As the title suggests, 1/48-1/56 (28mm) pirate(ish) ships is what I'm looking for. I know that's big and probably expensive but that's what I'm looking for. Google fu has failed me. Any help is appreciated, thanks. |

I used the Disney Pirates of the Caribbean ships (two versions of the Black Pearl and Queen Anne's Revenge) that were marketed with the different movies. You can see the results at warin15mm.com/Pirates.html |

This popped up before on TMP but can not find the thread. There were some good suggestions but my favourite ( when it comes to cost especially ) is the megabloks ships. I have four and they are perfect and surprisingly roomy to game on the actual decks too. Found an odd link with Google-fu to check out link |

The lasercut ships look nice, but they have nearly the same level of detail as Old Glory ships which are actually quite affordable and very impressive looking. If you need to buy a few ships, I'd recommend the $50 USD "old glory army" membership which gets you 40% off all your purchases for a year. |

Basically, Old Glory has about 11 different Pirate ships as well as 11 other ships in their GG range (Gunboats and Galley's), which match a lot of the pictures that you posted. The largest of the Old Glory Pirate ships are the high density foam ships, OGP 37,38,39. The Old Glory ships come with guns and ship fittings. Many that use a ships wheel also come with a helmsman – the foam ships give you choice of heads for the helmsman. And like one poster said, the army card gets you a good deal on the ships as well as the ability to pick up extra crew figures for pirates, crew manning guns, and general crew figures for the Napoleonic and AWI period. |
