Wow! Superb! Was it an actual wargame, or simply a (very impressive) diorama. And if the former, how did you keep all the dice, counters, rules, drinks cans etc off the table!? And who won? |

Wonderful modelling. LHS is beautifully done. Whitewashed and slate roofs of course, but should be over red brick really…………. Wrong door at LHS though. The idiots burnt the barn door, to the right (south)…….not the west courtyard gate as here. Might not have been the KGL garrison though to blame |

Yes – a working wargame. The photos were taken at the beginning before all the usual wargame clutter appeared. And a bit later I take personal responsibility for placing the "8" casualties marker on the glorious Chasseurs of the Middle Guard after the RA blew them away with canister and a double six! DB |

Thanks for sharing the pictures, what a beautifully presented game, stunning in everyway. Spectacular terrain and superbly painted figures. Just terrific, thanks again for taking the time to post the pictures and the link………………. |

Truly great stuff. Worth all the teddy bears that died to make it possible. |

Yes are nice looking game! Craziness- "repeating the same thing over and over and expecting a different out come" What did the French players do different in hopes to change history? It looks like the same DOOMED plan was enacted with hopes of rolling two "6"s at a key moment to change things!!! Pls enlighten us with more AAR details to what/ why the plan enacted, what then happen and why! MG |

I was so rushed off my feet I never got the chance to get a look at this. The figures and terrain are fantastic Guys, a real compliment to the fantastic rule set. |

MG, Is it my misinterpretation of your on-screen persona, or are you a bit of a thundertwunt in real life as well? |

Jemima, Is this some new form of wargaming that I have not encountered before? Do you perhaps substitute insults for die rolls? I can see how it might work. Let us say that two opposing units have gone into melee; both players come onto TMP and randomly insult a poster, following which an umpire decides the outcome of the melee based on the quality of the insult. It would be a bit slow but it could be made to work and I am sure that Sam Mustafa would be capable of writing a series of rulebooks based on the idea. You seem to make a habit of being rude towards people; I do have to wonder why. It is a fantastic looking game: I assume that the French lost. |

Ah! Brings back memories! Mostly those of having to change a wheel on a Volkswagen Polo along that track in the bottom photo, just behind the artillery it would have been. The real track that is, not DB's rather splendid model. Don't think it would have been quite as splendid with us parked on top of it. Obviously, jolly glad we were not there "On the Day", musket ball holes might have lost our deposit on the hire car! |

Of course, if you had been there on the day, you might not have been in any position to worry about the deposit;). |
