A new miniature wargame club for ladies will be meeting the second Saturday of every month starting in June 2015. The location is Games Plus at 101 W. Prospect Avenue, Mount Prospect, Illinois, United States. The Official start time is 11am (promptly) and last through out the day. All ladies interested in miniature wargaming are welcome and no experience needed.

1 game system will be featured each month as we currently have only 1 table reserved and may expand in the future depending upon need.

You only have to bring yourself. Everything will be setup for you to play. There is absolutely no charge. The following are games that will be on rotation: Bolt Action -- WWII (Warlord Games), Lord of the Ring SGB (Games Workshop), Ronin (Osprey), Saga (Gripping Beast and Studio Tomahawk), Dux Britainniarum (Too Fat Lardies), Dead Man's Hand (Great Escape Game), and Slaughterloo -- fantasy Napoleonics (Alternative Armies). I am hoping to add Lion Rampant (Osprey), Maurice and LaSalle (Sam Mustafa), and Impetus in the future.

First game begins at 11am SHARP on a first come first serve basis and repeated through out the day.

The intent of Camaraderie is to introduce ladies to the wonderful world of miniature wargaming. After "ladies first" policy, interested gentlemen will be able to fill in the unclaimed space.

If you are interested, please PM me. I will also have a flyer up at Games Plus soon.

Thank you Games Plus for sharing your gaming space with Camaraderie.

Regards,

Nina

Not fair! Not fair! Now they'll be better at _gaming_ than us guyz, too! <tacks up sign: "Boyz Clubhowze: No Gurlz Allowded">

But seriously: anything that grows the hobby, I welcome it!
Go for it, ladies!

Capncarp,

Thanks for the warm welcome. As I have stated, interested gentlemen may fill unclaimed gaming spot before the game begins.

I have been asked what would it take for a man to be able to join in on the fun.

My reply: yes he may join after "ladies first" policy, and as long as he wore heels and showed us his sexy legs -- no shaving required.

A Slaughterloo acquaintance of mine intends to show up in his sneakers (which has heels) and a kilt on the day that I feature Slaughterloo. I'm sure he will be playing that day.

All for the love of the hobby…

I am attempting to post a picture of a flyer for Camaraderie. Hopefully this works -- fingers crossed…

Good luck on that! Seems a very nice idea and I wonder if it has ever been tried.

Thank Lions Den. I will give it a try and see what happens.
