Is there a clean way to get the base off of a Star Wars minis Tie Crawler? I think I might do some damage if I pull it off. |

I can't speak for that one in particular, but with some of the other minis (and MechWarrior minis), I was generally able to insert a screwdriver or similar implement between the mini and base and gently lever it off. |

Don't know how they are bonded originally. If it's glue, you can often compromise the strength of the bond by putting the figure in the freezer for a few hours. |

I decided to rock them back and forth until they gave way. 2 snapped off leaving a grove filled with white plastic on the bottom of the hull. Not too bad seeing as it points downward. The 3rd took some hull with it which I glued back in place mostly. I am going to kitbash some parts over the spots. Freezing would have probably netted better results. |

I have a lot of 1/72-1/64 Star Wars stuff. Quite a few of the vehicles are small for 28mm but good for 20mm. Now if I could just find normal Battle Droids in this scale I would be set. The Micro Machines ones are hard to come by. I have seen people cut the track assemblies off the Crawlers and use them for kitbashing 40k-ish tanks. |

Yep CC i have seen that as well. Always nice tank conversions. Fav is what you posted, then a plasticard hull and a Hoth laser battery as a turret and weapon. Example…..
