Hey all, I thought this would be relevant to the interests here

We will be making a gameplay video over the weekend, and we are excited to shed light on the ruleset. Its a rethought way to play a naval miniatures game. But people also are loving the models and aesthetic.

Saw it mentioned on the VSF list, as well. Still wondering about the design contrasts between a fleet of late 18th to very early 19th century and a fleet that's near 20th.

I'm probably more interested to see the game play, though the Confederation ships pique a bit of my interest.

I'll also need to better gauge the dimensions of the figs before cogitating on the prices.

You know the funny part? The 'age of sail' looking fleet is the more advanced one! Its fantastical and hokey on purpose, but I could talk your ear off about the story specifics.

You mention dimensions, did you see the comparison with the Battlefleet Gothic models in the first update?

We are shooting the gameplay video tomorrow, and plan on having rules PDF up early next week.

Like three clicks in without specifically knowing where to click? No.

However, you mention base sizes in the main body, and IF the CADs are close to proportional, I could have tried to work that out.

I trundle back and look for the video. Thanks!

Edit: I think I can warm up a bit if I try to remember parts of Last Exile…

Would you suggest putting model comparisons on the main page? I just thought it might be distracting to put other minis on the main strip.

Maybe 'click here to see comparisons with…' that goes right to the post with piccies? Perhaps some other comparisons?

I did find the BFG, and did find it useful, but I was just pointing out I didn't look everywhere. Not everyone will; they should before buying in of course.

Just not necessarily before going on to something else.

Put the Core Rules up, though will be adding additional rules such as ramming and boarding soon. PDF link

Thanks! Looking now.

Straight forward so far, but early days for cogitation.

I did think that 'Clockwork Armada is a *naval* miniatures wargame for two or more players' may need rethinking.

Aeronaval?

Good point. Ship based, perhaps?

Not coming up with something better, but that's the story of my recent life…
