Nine ships from the two countries will participate in the drills, including Chinese vessels now on UN anti-piracy patrols in waters off the Horn of Africa, the Defence Ministry spokesman, Geng Yansheng, said at a monthly news briefing in Beijing. The drills will focus on navigation safety, at-sea replenishment, escort missions and live-fire exercises, he said. link |

When playing Modern Naval Battles (DVG) I always wondered under what circumstance that we could use both the Italian and Chinese fleets in the same game. Now I have the answer…. Just how do we get Japan and Taiwan into the same waters as the Italians? ;-) |

Speaking of Modern Naval Battles – anyone want to suggest four must have nations fleets to add to the game?
Mine would be:
Chile ( since the game has Argentina)
South Korea (lots of interesting ships)
Vietnam (SCS)
