George RR Martin is doing the proof reading, right after he finishes Book 7.

Maybe it's like Microsoft where they'll skip windows 9 and go straight to 10.

We're skipping 4 and moving straight to 5.

Well, I skipped paying my supporting membership because the system is broken – slow to load, sometimes times out, glitches and it now seems to be closed for about 2 hours every day during peak morning UK viewing – if the new system comes online and solves these I'll be back, until then I'll keep it on as a freebie.

As an example, after posting this I decided to do a search of posts on both the Plus and Message Boards. Both searches timed out.

I have rarely had a problem.

Searches usually work OK – but you are better off to leave the site and search in Google to get the TMP links you are looking for …

Bandolier30 Apr 2015 5:51 p.m. PST

I never search by "posts" because it always times out.
Title and Author searches are fine. Google is best for more thorough searches.

The huge chunk of System Maintenance downtime is a PITA.

The good things here in general still outweigh the imperfections.

I'm still excited about the semi-recent changes to the homepage!

I actually kind of like the 90s vibe this website has. It is not flashy and slick.

David Manley01 May 2015 11:33 a.m. PST

I heard it'll be ready on Tuesday

What? This Tuesday?

Kudos. Working over a bank holiday?

Got to admire the dedication.

Just wondering as Editor(s) Gwen e-mailed me asking me to renew my supporting membership, but I replied telling her that I will wait till TMP 4.007 is up….maybe.
It's been what 2 or 3 years now?

Maybe you underestimate the difficulty.

Just my 2 cents after having problems with Facebook and Photobucket, etc. … Don't be another place where to post pics or anything, I have to go to Firefox, Chrome, etc., etc. to be able to easily use this site.
