Just checking out the new goodies from Warlord. I'm not an expert on the Crimean War but I'm sure this is a mistake.

Figures look nice though. =)

Well, the Austrians did mobilize a substantial portion of their army to occupy the Danubian Duchies after the Russians pulled out, and put a couple of Corps in Galicia and Hungary, which absorbed the attention of Russi's best troops. They came close to hostilities, but in the end didn't. But I doubt it is that!

Or did they actually mean Crimean Russian infantry? But Hungarian is definitely an error unless they are progressing into a "what-if" scenario.

From Battle Phlox's link, they certainly look like Russian infantry models to me.

I looked at the pictures of the figures and Jon is right. The figures are Russian infantry.

They did the same thing at Salute 2014, so I wouldn't get too excited about seeing anything actually in the plastic.

Hello!

Our apologies for the mistake in the article. You are correct that they are indeed Russian not Hungarian.

Good spot and thanks for bringing this to our attention! The article has now been updated :)

Creating plastic models takes some time to get them just right – we wouldn't want to release substandard figures! Due to this we don't have an exact release date for the Russians yet, however they are currently in tooling so keep an eye on our website over the next few months for sneak peeks ;)

Thanks,

Sarah

I look forward to their release. =)

… and we all got so excited about some random Hungarians in the Crimea.

A "what if" set of Austrians could be cool, but I doubt it would be a big seller.
