I have decided to go out on a limb and actually go to this show, it's a lonnnnng drive. And I have no idea what to expect, hopefully a nice game day as in the old fashioned city cons from of old. No tournaments (dreadful waste of time) I don't like the bloody things. And I know absolutely NO-ONE who will be there. Thoughts? I got last years after-show book. Looked very interesting, without the throngs, annoying PA systems, shoppers blackfriday frenzy, and……..wait for it…….beer and wine…….

Actually, I've gone to a couple of them and will be running a game again, this year.

It's a lot of fun.

I am trying to get enough time to paint up stuff for a SYW game in India. Failing that, I'll fall back on the FIW or maybe something in the Caribbean.

What do you mean you won't know anybody there? Rob, me, Ed and several other guys will all be there waiting to see you!

grin Unless it's a different show from ours.

Dear John

I don't recall your name, did you give me anothernam? You must if I sent you the After Action Report/Keepsake booklet. You have also gotten yesterday or today the update bulletin and RSVP SASE for the convention. If not, let me know at sighr@eclipse.net and I will send you out one.

Yesh,,, I am going to cincycon, Friday and Saturday this weekend, my first annual "long haul show" will be "the weekend" in June. I honestly don't think I could handle that crowd at historicon. BTW, my Crimean War battle is smaller than what I originally envisioned, I think 1200 figures would be a bit much for a quick "three hour tourrrrrr"

Ah, ok. Never heard of the weekend. Learn something new as they say………….wink

Clay,

I'll be running a Saga non-tournament. Which means it's not a tournament, no power gamers, nothing to win, no bragging rights, just games with similar minded people. Oh ya, an army and instruction will be provided for anyone who wants to try Saga. Games don't take too long to play either. Would be happy to have you drop by.

We'll have to see closer to June about times and dates. The Weekend is about as low key as you can get.

Bowman, I'm driving ten hours plus….. Low key is best,,,,,
For many reasons I can't go into here

I've participated in a couple of these "non tournaments" and they're really allot of fun. Clays, if you do attend The Weekend, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised how much fun this convention is.

This will be my third year and I love it!
