Oh yes. My own stellar example was "Who is your favorite Olsen twin?" A few boards arrived that way. So the myth on Frothers runs. They did get the votes, and it can't have been all from the famed legions of Frothers sock puppets. Anyway, here are some possible answers Yes No I plead the Fifth! Zardoz Needs more boobies |

Yes. The Movie Armour Awesomeness Contest! was intended as a fun topic (with categories inspired by a beauty pageant), but Bill picked it up and ran a poll. Which was oddly gratifying. Ron |

Yes. And I hope to continue the trend with a 3mm fantasy board request in the near future (as soon as someone makes the first 3mm fantasy figure – a fairy/sprite of course! |

Yes. I don't even remember what it was, but I remember being surprised to get a membership extension for it… |

Yes … Was Y2K a fraud? or somesuch that just ran. It was a joke based on a statement about Y2K (that I can't remember) in another thread (not about that) which made me giggle. Like a schoolgirl … with a beard … and more back hair than Chewbacca. But giggle, nonetheless. |

Yes, the Yerbouti National Elections. Which, by the way, it's almost time for another. |

No. All my poll suggestions come about through long hours of research, intended to tap into the Zeitgeist of our community. Results are penned onto the pages of sacred tomes by genetically engineered Lemur-Monks, and secreted away in vault guarded by glowing, arcane sigils, thousands of miles beneath the earth's crust, awaiting a far-off enlightened age when cilantro is No More. |

I've had a few used that showed up long after my suggestion. But my favorite was the needs more boobies board idea. It created three years of people with issues. |

I have never suggested a frivolous poll. All have been underscored by hard scientific enquiry, and serve only for the furthering of the understanding of the psychology of wargamers. Honest. |

tigrifsgt, Never went there but I find the idea of controversy about it amusing – don't like some board, don't go there is my motto, why argue about it? |

tigrifsgt – did it really run that long and create THAT much chaos? |

There were threads that had 150 to 160 responses. And at times they were going at the same time. But that's water under the bridge. The name was changed by a very vocal group. It was sort of a compromise between those who wanted to eliminate the board and those who wanted to change the name. As Gunny Highway said, "Democracy in Action". |
