Well, almost. For a diorama project my 13YO daughter painted a dozen or so 15mm figures for a hospital. She quite liked it. If she had been free she even wanted to go to Little Wars with me….

So I picked up in a trade some random Reaper figures. She painted up the first two, and here are the results:

Like the cowgirl, she is a keeper, now to get her painting the big battalions?

Very nice start! Now show her your techniques on a father/daughter paint night. Some good bonding time!

Wonderful! Ask if she is taking commissions. It really is nice work, and I am sure you are one proud papa!

So far we're strictly prime black, stay in the lines. The other night we started on a very simple highlight on her next (a gift for a friend of hers).

She wants to get good enough to paint and sell on Ebay or through me.

As for commissions, sorry I'm first in line!

What does she charge for commissions?

If you have to ask, you can't afford her evil grin

I'm impressed, Mark! for first time out thats fantastic. i remember my son's first venture with D&D figures and a few years later shaking my head at the unit patch details on his 40K space marines.

How's it gonna feel when she can paint better than you can?
;-) great that you can share the hobby. i treasure the years my son and i had together attending cons. enjoy it…time and distance passes all too quickly. suddenly they are grown and have their own family.

Well, I'm a very average painter so being better me is measuring the tallest midget for sure!

recon3528 Apr 2015 7:27 p.m. PST

Great work. I hope she stays with it.

I'm quitting now, if those are her _first_ figures. She has a good technique (rotten kid…)
