Posting on behalf of a friend:

Does anyone know of a manufacturer who makes 15mm figures for the Great War for the East African Theatre?

Thanks.

Haven't found any in 15 yet, though someone on TMP posted a year or two ago about starting a line. Can't remember who, now. There are 10mm (Pendraken), 20mm and 25/28mm figures for it, though.

Anything in particular you are looking for? Often you can get away with using Colonial late 1800s figs for many of the Askaris etc. You can likely use some of the Mini-fig yeomanry with some modification for German Schutzen. To be honest I have never looked all that hard at it, but if you look at the idea of Yeomanry and PPs Indian figs as well as Colonial troops you should be able to get there.

Quite a few years ago, I actually did East Africa. I used Minifigs colonials and WWI figures. THey have (had?) WWI British for Palestine, as well as ANZACs. I used Sudanese Infantry as German Askaris and as I recall Boers for Germans.

As above, you can bodge most things up from existing colonial and ww1 ranges.

Old Glory's German Far Eastern Brigade figures from their Boxer Rebellion line can serve as East African Schutztruppen. The main differences between the two troop types are in uniform color and color of their kit. As long as you paint them in East African colors, the figures will work well.

Irregular has Askari in 15mm. I believe. I think Two Dragons does, too.

I did my WWI GEA 20 years ago using Minifigs like nnascati has named. I also had dismounted Boer War Yeomanry as Germans.
Very happy with them.
