I have decided to do an Eastern front project to be based around some ruined buildings i have been putting together. These came about as the result of doing some for a Warhammer Epic 40k project one of the lads at the club wanted to do for a display game at one of the shows in Scotland late last year. It didn't take too much effort to make ruined versions.

As for figures the only 6mm i can find are from Adler and Irregular so i'm going for a mix of Adler infantry and Irregular Tanks, Artillery and aircraft. If anyone knows of other ranges please feel free to let me know.

Pics of the first 8 buildings can be seen on my sons Blog here-

Good grief, please tell me you cut those windows out on a laser cutter! If not, you must be a jeweler. Very fine work.

GHQ is the biggest seller of high quality 6mm armor in the U.S. Its called Micro Armor here.

There is the Heroics & Ros range and is a lot cheaper than GHQ in the UK.

With the Adler figures you can get the selection that you require.

Nice. By the way, Baccus are going to start doing some 6mm WWII this year, might be worth asking them what period / front they will be starting with.

Thanks for the figure recommendations guys. How on earth did i not think of GHQ and H&R? I did look at Baccus and was surprised the don't do WW2 so its good to know they are planning a range.

Yes Warhawkwind they are Laser cut. No way do i have the patience to do that by hand!

The chaps from Baccus told me at Salute that WW2 is coming soon (next) as they're about to switch from Great War. Fingers crossed.

That's good news. At least their website is decent!

Hi Mick

Great buildings!

I'd prob go Adler for figures (1/285), & Heroics & Ros for vehicles (1/300)… slight scale difference, but I reckon it looks ok. Check Bruce Weigle games for 1/300 figures (Heroics & Ros) with smaller scale terrain:

His games show mixed scales can look amazing.

Cheers

Wow. That is inspiring work.

Now I have to look into laser cutting.

Do note that GHQ can be a bit out of scale with some of the other ranges. They are very lovely though.

GHQ goes wonderfully with the Adlers. I mix in H&R and Armstrong (now with H&R) when I need something that GHQ don't do.

All great suggestions. Mixing seems to be the way to go. Some great models available in this scale.

Thats a great link Seb, fantastic looking terrain.
