Due to pressing family commitments I'm going to be playing solo for the next two weeks, so I decided to use some of my new Austrians and re-fight one of my favourite battles – Chotusitz 1742.

Here's my set up – battle reports to follow

Chotusitz is next on my list of solo games, so I can learn a few things from your game.

The marshy stream modules that you made are very creative

Thanks DAF. I made them long and thin, in the main, for showing 'terrain edges. Within the edge I've found using bristle stuck to pennies pretty useful for 'filling the gap'.

I can't wait to see what you'll do. I was VERY impressed by Mollwitz.

A most beautiful setup.
I played this battle some years ago. Compared to your table ours had more depth. I remember the poor Prussian advanced corps under Leopold had to take the first onslaught unsupported with Frederick only in the process of entering in column of march a good edge to the rear of where I see your Frederick in position. In the event, I recall, I had great trouble of getting my Prussian left wing cavalry across this wretched stream, for the Austrians took great efforts to deny me the crossing. It was a bitter fight. Prussians won in the end.

Cheers,
Christian
