I am looking to get into modern 20mm cold war gaming. I am currently looking at British and Soviets. I would need both infantry and vehicles. Can i ask for recommendationd for both infantry and vehicles please? Vehicles I am flexible, resin, metal, plastic or diecast should be fine though plastic is my least favourite Infantry ideally metal though would consider good plastics. Thanks in advance for all tips Andy |

S&S Models for both sides vehicles, Britannia Miniatures have some more vehicles too, The Hobby Den carries some nice vehicles too. Figures from Elhiem, Britannia, Liberation/RH Models, Platoon 20, Esci/Italeri did/do some Russians as do Orion. There is a set of plastic Brits based on the old Britain's 54 mm……have a look on Plastic Soldier Review for pics. Bound to be more but these spring to mind based on what I have kicking about! |

East Riding Miniatures do the Platoon 20 ones – they're good. |

Elhiem do superb stuff figure wise, good old 19080s tin pot/SLR British and Soviets, including in NBC kit. Have a look at the Wargames Guild for inspiration! S&S do the T-64 in resin, model collect do a T-64 and T-64ERA in plastic, very nice but fiddly. S&S, Britiannia, Cromwell and Hobby Den do pretty well most vehicles you need except the IMR, BAT-M and Wolfgangs bratty wagon. Tally Ho! |

Wartime Miniatures from Oz also do some very nice suitable Soviets and Stonewall do the Combat Miniatures Operation Panshir and Operation Corporate figures for both sides. Hope this helps. Phil |

Have a look at my wiki page here: link And scroll down to 'Suppliers'. I've been doing the same thing for the past year and a half and managed to get everything I wanted (be prepared to compromise a little) to field a substantial force. Be warned: it's addictive! |

I'll remove the haircut comment when you finish the Amx vci.. :-) I should really add some photos to the site and post the latest version of FUBAOR, but I've been sidetracked into a soviet helicopter fleet. All mounted on S&S bases! |

the hair is just getting a little greyer! we did not think those bases would be as popular as they have been. vci comment noted! |
