Ok since I have purchased Mr. Whitehouse's rules for Camaron, I need figures for it. Who is making FFL and Mexicans for this period? It seems as though 15mm or 20mm would be the most cost effective for me. I know of Stone Mountain and Blue Moon for 15mm FFL but the Mexicans seem to be the hardest part to track down.

Pendraken in 10mm does not offer a dedicated range beyond cavalry in sombreros. However you can easily build the two armies using codes from their various 19th century ranges. I am in love with them and I recommend considering it as a n option. You can join their forum for more questions suggestions for codes.

Last day of the QRF sale today they have a very nice range of Maximillian Adventure 15mm figures as you can see in the links above.

And Stoss…I have a handful of packs from the QRF/Freikorps range I can let you have for an excellent price:

Nine packs, Codes MA4-10, MA23, and MA24.

Would give you a start on the Belgian, Austrian, and Egyptian troops. PM me if interested.

As much as I hate to be picky, once again I'll point out that, just as WW2 isn't called 'The Hitler, Mussolini and Emperor Hirohito Experience', there's no such conflict as 'The Maximillian Adventure'. To historians (who should know) it's 'The Mexican Adventure' or 'The French Intervention in Mexico'.

But Henry, you knew what I was talking about ;)

Alan do you know where I can get a copy of Tim's scenario book? Can't seem to locate it anywhere.

For some reason, everyone knew what you were talking about. And WW2 has more titles/designations than WW2.

The Freikorps/QRF figures are lovely – they have a Camerone set too, with wounded etc.

Also, have a look in Peter Pig's 15mm Western range, they have good Mexican irregulars.

I can't find that set on their website.

If you want 20mm there is stuff in this range you could use although there are no sombreros!!

Sorry, but I already said it well enough on another thread, so I'll just duplicate that post here!

"For bargain hunters, may I point out that the original Houston's figures referred to in the rules are still very much available as TVAG's "Viva Juarez!" range which may be viewed via this link

At some FIFTY CENTS each (for foot), and sold in packs of 20 figures, with command, there is no more economical way to bulk up your existing collection, or to enter the subject for the first time.

And for all you Old Men whose collections began years ago, these are TRUE 25mm figures that will match most anything you bought in the days before 28mm became "25mm!"

And watch for the "Viva Juarez!" Scenario Book due out later this year from

TVAG"

Stosstruppen – They certainly used to do one. Maybe it's not available now…? In any case, it's a pretty comprehensive range, and they are fine figures.

@TVAG, unless I am missing something, your site lists the figs at $25 USD for a 20 figure bag -- not at fifty cents apiece.

Unfortunately I missed the sale. We were burying my wife's grandmother today. I can wait till next time.

GeoffQRF26 Apr 2015 10:41 p.m. PST

If you email me I can sort it out.

Shedman27 Apr 2015 2:13 a.m. PST

Geoff – what happened to Code MA1- FFL in Kepi or Sombrero?

Not to be confused with MA1A which is on your site

GeoffQRF27 Apr 2015 2:27 a.m. PST

All the MA codes were moved to MAX (as we use MA for the Macedonians!)

MAX01 is here: link
