The human contractor figures just look silly. Their proportions are waaaay off, and seeing as how you can't *not* pledge for figures without getting some of those, I'll wait. The other guys in armor look OK, though. ~B |

Given the Epic style blast markers, and use of the GW WS chart, I get the feeling the game might be trying to be "not 40K." The contractor figures look like the older IG plastics. I might back this but favor these figures with Antares rules. |

Digging the flying drones and the bat things, very cool! |

I am very curious on who is making the plastic. I have a weird feeling about it. |

The humans have a midget look to them and the poses are very stiff. I like the Aliens tho. |

I still don't know what people mean when they say "aliens" in this context. The Minnows (AKA "bat things")? I'm on principle all for HIPS scifi miniatures, even if they aren't quite as hot as the project marketing spleen makes them out to be. Not going to pledge for this however, at least if they do not capitulate to putting out a separate Karist and/or terrain pledge or add-on. Which according to the project runners' comments doesn't seem likely to happen. |

He may mean the Karlist Elites who are taller and thinner than the other Karlists. |

Could be. The only group I've seen referred to as aliens by SAS are the Minnows (and other Angels but I'm yet to see a pic of those) yet some people would seem to think that the Tempests, or perhaps even that all Karists, are xenos as well. |

Earlier tpoic?, damn must remember to read out what I've typed. Could be. The only group I've seen referred to as aliens by SAS are the Minnows (and other Angels but I'm yet to see a pic of those) yet some people would seem to think that the Tempests, or perhaps even that all Karists, are xenos as well. They have a more alien look about them, especially the Tempests…..actually if you put up a picture of the Tempests with no background info I'd assume they were humanoid aliens as well. |

I was assuming they are genetically modified Übermenschen. As to if that idea -- or the idea they are humanoid xenos instead of humans, whichever it would be if either -- came about before or after the molds were made I can't say. Regular Karists are hard pressed to pass for aliens even in a Star Trek episode on budget. |
