The coolest rule in Piquet (among may others) is how after determining a units baseline quality you then randomly determine the wear-and-tear on it the day of battle. The other guy has no idea until its too late. A great idea- hard marched, staving and ill-supplied vets aren't going to be quite as steady or as easy to maneuver as they'd be under better circumstances. The problem with that rule is how much time it takes to generate units, plus to keep track of them on the table. A blank marker with the information on the underside might just be better. |
