It's a story as old as Fantasy.
Orc raiders making off with their loot are caught in the open by horsemen. The orcs barely make it to a convenient stand in for Senlac Hill, just in time to set up their shieldwall.

On come the Riders. Death or Glory!

Great story and game! Perhaps these are some of Saruman's orcs, seeing of some riders of Rohan. And proving Saruman's claim that they are as quick to advance as to flee.

I love combining genres. I once had orcs invade Canada in 1885.

Thanks for the report.

It was a fun quick read.

Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.

@eoschmitz: Excellent point. In the books we always see them winning but they did manage to lose all of Rohan save Helm's Deep.

@Winston Smith: Splendid. My friend Ron was always fond of orcs in the Sudan. I use them for tribal types in all the backwaters of the Valon Napoleonic fantasy setting. Also I am preparing the army of Der Kleine Fritz to dispatch an expedition to reclaim Moria under Baron Eickenshchild. Two regiments of Foot and one of Pandours, perhaps some light guns.

@punkrabbitt returns: YES! I love the old figures. Still remember calling UK to order them. Two boxes set up the core of my goblin, orc, elf, and skaven army as well as my dark elf mercenary contingent. Been thinking about re-basing and perhaps dipping to bring them up to snuff but there is so much to do with my backlog of 80's and 90's figures I just keep plodding on :)

@StygianBeach: You are most welcome.
