Strangely, though, some of the less attractive ones would seem to have gotten more votes…

This will start the Xena Military Femme Fatale Pageant.

Some of them have that Soviet "pull tractor from ditch " look of Soviet female Olympic track stars.

In general and IMHO…it seems that the women with some Asiatic heritage are more attractive, though there are some stunners among the non-Asiatic group too.

I also realize what I wrote was sexist and chauvinistic.

I wonder if that is all the women in Kazakhstan military or if it is just he ones that entered the pageant.

True enough but some of them are very pretty, almost all Asian (call me a sexist chauvinistic pig too). ALL are in uniform (always a plus) and many have boots…

Very good point ! Yeah … some of them are a bit rough cut and a bit hard looking. Like some Biker chicks I've seen. But hey ! They are trying ! And some are very attractive ! Yeah, I know we are objectifying all females, etc., etc. … But we are guys and we like girls ! It's in our DNA ! However, remember … the Russians in the past, were masters of the "Honey Pot" tactic !

Many look like their official military photos. In the US military, these are a couple steps above driver's license photos. For such photos, smiling and looking pretty are not really the goal: looking competent is more what you strive for.

Others are more akin to what we call "glamour photos," and the girls are smiling and look rather attractive.

I like the light blue uniforms, by the way--I suppose they are air force.

I'm sure this wasn't the intent of the Kazakhstan military, but the medals do tend to draw one's eye to the bust line.

There's a village somewhere in Switzerland whose women have a particular beauty, dating back 400 years when Swiss mercenaries from that village looted a Mongol supply train and brought the women home.

I think a prime genetic component of beauty is mixed origin in general, a sort of hybrid vigor of appearance.

Oh, and I thought that it was believed to be a Mongol raiding force that lost its way and married local women. I suppose that DNA would reveal which story was more likely, though.

This is a former Soviet state. Based on the women I've seen from the former Soviet Union, that's de rigueur…

Different standards I suppose, but certainly the ones i found attractive didnt get as many votes.

As for my IP if they try to get any thng from me when they find what my ex did to muy credit rating they shall curse the time they wasted on me.

Just returned from Kazakhstan yesterday, seen many nice girls who're much more attractive than most of these army women…working as engineers on TengizChevroil operation for instance.
In Kazakhstan you have several"clans" of Kazakhs, southerners have more classic indo-european faces and slim figures, while those from the central and Northern Kazakhstan have more mongoloid faces and square figures. Marriages between Russians/Ukrainians and Kazakhs in Soviet times sometimes provided stunning results ;)
At large exhibitions, the companies often invite nice-lloking girls for booth support (and it really works for attracting visitors), may be not as good as free beer though ;)

The really interesting question is who did the TMPers vote for. I cast my vote for the lady 14 down from top in the far left column. Who did you lot vote for?

Call me odd, but I have never found Asian women all that attractive, so I was a bit disappointed with much of the contestant pool! But there are some very attractive women in there none the less. I was torn between my final vote and the gal on the bottom row, middle column.

And yes, this could be considered "sexist", etc by the overly-sensitive. But whatever…

My choice was N19 – i.e 3d in 5th row…I guess my taste is different to Kazakh men, as she just got 640+ votes, compared to some, who got over 8000…
and brain is a big plus for me too..

I'm still in Kazakhstan working with the lasses in TCO as Barin1 noted. And they range from hubba-hubba through to woof-woof. Pretty much like the rest of the world really.
