A Chinese company has emailed to let me know they are ready to supply all of my tungsten alloy needs!

…such astungsten hunting shot, tungsten alloy military swaging rods, tungsten alloy balls, tungsten alloy cubes and all for the military aspects of the tungsten alloy with Israeli technology.

This will be such a relief. I didn't know where I was going to get my tungsten alloy from…

Don't trust them – I've been waiting for my order of swaging rods for over 6 months now. Emails and phone calls get no reply.

They're fine, Bill.

I got my large order of self-sealing stem bolts* from them in record time.

Get in on it now. All the Cool miniatures manufacturers are switching to tungsten.

Are tungsten balls better than brass?

Disco Joe24 Apr 2015 7:02 a.m. PST

No brass trumps tungsten every time.

deephorse24 Apr 2015 7:15 a.m. PST

I don't think that brass monkeys would agree. Now there is the market for tungsten alloy balls.

Over 67% of brass monkeys surveyed prefer tungsten over brass for the winter months.

Maybe there would be fewer lockfile errors if you replace the copper wiring with tungsten locks. Perhaps something to implement in TMP 4.0, so you should take them up on their offer.

Warning – their customer service has really fallen off since that Nigerian prince took over the operation – you have been warned

Bashytubits24 Apr 2015 9:04 a.m. PST

This must be a huge relief as one never knows when you will need some tungsten.

Cuchulainn24 Apr 2015 9:31 a.m. PST

Could you point them in my direction Bill? I'm just about to get a huge amount of money from an inheritance from some Nigerian guy I'm related to, and could invest it in some tungsten alloy with Israeli technology.

That's not as bad as the context-driven ads in my Gmail banners. After a lengthy discussion of tanks with another TMPer via email, I started seeing -- I kid you not -- advertisements for bull semen tanks. Seriously. Apparently this is something cattle breeders use.

Griefbringer24 Apr 2015 10:46 a.m. PST

javelin98: perhaps you could convert those advertised container tanks into battlefield scenery, if they are not too large.

Well, if you wouldn't mind washing them out for me first…

Will Krylon primer adhere well to tungsten?

14Bore25 Apr 2015 5:55 p.m. PST

No chance of lead rot

Will Krylon primer adhere well to tungsten?

I don't know, but tungsten flakes added to paint creates an excellent metallic finish.
