I am looking at putting all seven consecutive copies of "The Strategic Review" by TSR on EBay but wondering what would be the best process not interested in breaking them up.) Two are fair, Two are very good, and Three are Good (at least as I understand (not really very well) what seems like the default rating system.

Should I put them out at low starting bids (using the "sold" function on EvilBay to see what "average" is) or should I just set a price and see what results I get?

Is there an objective source for the realistic price for these issues somewhere?

Thanks in advance.

I also have the first few "Dragon" magazines but that is another subject…

I'd set the price first and see what results you get the early issues usually bring the most money.

The price on the early periodicals have dropped drastically over the past decade (digital copies being the big factor). Where once you could expect at least $100.00 USD each, you may get about $30.00 USD.

I would suggest starting out around the 20.00 to get the bidding going.

Early Dragons (say 1 through 3)are in a very similar situation, though if you have one in very good shape (and preferably in the mailing sleeve) may still get you couple of hundred.

BUT you never can tell. You may get lucky.

FWIW, search results:
