…and I've not developed the commitment to buy the hardback. Is it possible to buy a replacement? Robot Studios/Alien Dungeon has a pretty high wall to ask a simple question. Thanks! Doug |

I'd get it. It has a lot more stuff than the soft cover book does. |

Starter box mini-rulebook is incomplete and with errors. Get the full HB rulebook. |

"… Starter box mini-rulebook is incomplete and with errors.." That is not re-assuring. |

But all too common of late, alas. As for the hardback, I've already explained. If the starter rulebook is useless, I suppose I can sell the 'mericans. Main interest was the tripods for possible other uses. I had someone express interest in the game itself, and thought I'd give it a small go, but we'll see. Thanks for the insight, all! Doug |

It's worth it. AQOTMF is a lot of fun. It flows well and has lots of action. Easily one of the most fun games I've ever played. Again, the hardback book is well worth the money. |

Get the hardback rulebook. It is a great read, full of nicely done background material. And of course it has the full rules… |

@Ambush Alley Jim Damn, man, they are every bit as good as you say! Given how this game has taken off, I should have expected a long wait in response. Completely proves what happens when you 'assume.' 'Ed' left me feeling down right giddy. Thanks! Doug |

Let's be straight here-- the mini rulebook is NOT "useless", it just has a few errors in it. The hardback one is preferable on all levels, but the little book is certainly useable. |

How well does the Errata & FAQ address these issues? link And, before the chorus starts, yes, they should have got it right the first time, and yes, it's really nice they're trying. Doug |

There are errors in the mini rule book, there are also errors in the main rule book. You need to follow the stats for each unit listed in the description of the unit rather than the full listing of stats provided, there are differences. The erata is helpful, but I do not agree with all thats listed in the erata. However…its a great game and fun to play. I just got done running three games at a convention. It was listed for 8 players and I had 16 playing in both sessions of the game. It was so popular I ran another game on the last day. I think the hard cover rulebook is a must buy, especially if you want to get the most out of playing. The back story/history of the Martian conflict is a great read, and provides many great ideas for games you can play and modeling of the figures. |

Have you looked in the pile of books beside your desk? That's usually where I loose things. I'm Getting more and more absent minded these days. |
