Hi!

Has anyone got any recommendations for a good size of neodymium magnet for securing Blitzkrieg (or similar) resin tank turrets to the tank bodies?

I had some small 3mm x 2mm ones which weren't strong enough, and the 25mm x 2mm I bought could probably support my bodyweight!

Hmmm, good idea.

I have used this company in the past…

They have a lot of options. You might try the larger magnet and a small piece of galvanized steel.

I used to do magnets for FoW tanks.

In order to save on magnets though, I would do one magnet in the Turret, and clip off the head of a large flat-head nail, and glue that into the Hull. This would mean only one magnet per model, and never having to worry about Polarity!

Something like this for the nails, where the shaft isn't too thick, and you can reasonably drill a hole in the Hull to accommodate about 1/8" of the shaft.

Check the nail with the magnet before you buy them to ensure the nail isn't heavily galvanized and therefore lacks attraction. Great Idea.
