What is the policy on embedded Amazon affiliate links on TMP? I guess its OK if the poster is a supporting member? I don't begrudge anybody making a buck. Just know that all these Amazon links that flood these pages are making money for the poster every time you click on a link and purchase a book. And not just the book you click on. The link embeds a cookie on your computer and gives the poster/affiliate a percentage of sales on EVERYTHING you buy on Amazon for the next 24 hours. I'm all about capitalism and knowing about the existence of these books is good, but I'm also all about transparency. Please be aware that you are being sold these books for money, not just links for your interest. |

thank you for posting, rather thought provoking I must say!! P.S. compliments again on your Chickamauga and Atlanta campaign books, superb work! Both have not only prompted the ordering of your other titles, but several additions to my acw collection! |

Thanks Rebel! Any addition to the ACW collection is a good thing! And I want to make sure I'm clear. I don't think its a bad thing posting these links, nor do I want anybody to stop. Especially if they have paid to be a supporting member. However, this board is flooded with these book links. I just wanted people to know somebody is making money off of all these posts. Maybe I'm a busybody and need to mind my own business. I just thought it was the right thing to do. |

Not at all sir, you did the right thing! Highlighting the situation without any implied criticism? Wilder's Lightning Brigade, plus Walthall's Mississippians were the first new additions |
