It looks great! I did something similar. I found a broken toy lighthouse at the swap meet. It required some repair and modification but came out great in the end. Since that time I've also found a plastic cookie jar lighthouse that won't require any real work other than painting. Both are perfect for 28mm. There's some nice stuff out there if you are lucky enough to find it and you were. Congrats on your find. Richard |

What a find! Excellent work. IMHO, the stonework is a bit bright to be seedy, but nice job on the repaint nonetheless. Really cool to hear that you'll be able to make it light up as well. Is that a 15mm or 28mm figure? Plastic decorations can be a real delight for conversion. Certainly easier and more convertible than porcelain or other ceramic materials. I got ahold of a plastic patriotic house a while back… link |

Wal-mart usually has inexpensive ceramic lighthouses at Christmas. Requires just a little repaint, and they actually work; lights up and rotates light. Perfect for 25/28mm scale. |

Cheers for the kind comments everybody :-D The figure is 28mm. Good work on the patritotic house, ordinarybass. I'm thinking of giving the stonework a wash. That should seedy it up a bit ;-) All the best! |

Great find. The top window looks out of scale but what can you do. Could try adding additional moulding to break it up into smaller panes, but hard to do well and you want to avoid smudging the glass. |

Thank you all! :-D I've calmed down the paintwork as suggested and added some plant growth for improved seediness. Have a look and see what you think :-) |

Really great job, from start to finish! Looks positively awesome -- and that "Mad jack the lighthouse keeper" from Artizan would be a perfect addition! |
