I would like to know what you guys would think of making the german MP-3008 for my Volsturm from a british Sten gun? I would make use of the Warlord Plastic gun from the weapons sprue. Here is the MP-3008 link I know of none made by any company that is separate for my needs. Now that Warlord did the Winter soviets sprue I combine that with some of my left overs and seems to look rather haggard which is appropriate. Opinions and advise welcome. Thanks JH |

Also I wonder what frequency volksturm whould have used the PIAT? They were given all manner of surplus. I am using Italian Bredas for my MMG/HMG needs. Asked Warlord if I could buy just the gun and not the entire Italian team. awaiting answer. Also Also-- Who makes the 76mm Soviet Field gun. Not the Ratschbaum that is the tank killer and all purpose gun but the stubby barreled gun used early on in the Great Patriotic War. Yep kitting the Volksturm with a few of these as well. Volksturm I hear you all say. Why? they can't all be winners. In our games they either go Fanatical or run away and in come the feldgendarm and some SS. Treat these like early war Commisars. When they go fanatical they are very troublesome. they have a lack of training so they do not always hit anything but they stick in the fight. get lucky and we sometimes beat the Soviets. Just last weekend had 7 T34 wrecks on the table. Five by infantry Tank Jagers. One by a Borgward the other by Tiger. lost one Tiger however and the other out of action by a SU-85(one shot). JH |
