Anybody else watching it? This is the one series was glad to turn down the collective advice of TMP (which seemed negative) and watch the first season. I quite liked it. It is not perfect, and it has its issues, but I do not know but it was good fun and had some modicum of respect to the history.

I am now wathcing the second season and can say it seems it will be just as good.

I love it! It has spurred me on to read about the actual Culper spy ring, and the historical truth is more dramatic than what is being shown in "Turn". For those unfamiliar with this time period of American history, I hope the show sparks their interest…

I like it too. I think the storylinescarecsolid and entertaining. Plus, they also seem to have cut back on the number of powdered wigs being worn.

It is a family event in our house. Everyone watches it. I like that they get more right than wrong.

But I am not so sure in showing both Simcoe and Johnson as nothing more than petty and vindictive thugs. I've read Simcoe's book and got none of that murderous rage that the actor portrays. I do understand trying to make an implacable enemy for viewers to latch onto, but as stated above, the real life was just as dramatic without the theatrics.

But that is my only complaint and when they get down to it, AMC does a fantastic job of selling the period and the lifestyle. Even knowing what is supposed to happen via the dates displayed doesn't change understanding HOW it may have occurred as shown in the show based on the book.

Next week will be the battle of Monmouth. I am really looking forward to that.

I am curious to see how they show the relief of Lee.

Good episode. The Battle of Monmouth was okish. Like a wargamer representation of the battle. The rest of the episode was good though.

But the episode did not feel like a season finale. Very problematic as a Season finale. I hope it gets renewed for at least one more season, though that may be hard.
