Last night the Tues Night Skirmishers played our first Dead Man's Hand"

Rules are interesting…and once we got the hang it moved pretty quickly. BIG thanks to Charles and JD for interoperating the "Queens English" of the game charts & rules. (Darn Brits need to learn to write American!!! LoL!)

We played 3 "scenes" or scenarios last night…the game is based on western movies more than reality.

The first scene had 3 lawmen protecting the "judge" form 4 outlaws. Law men won after they killed 3 of the 4 bad guys.

2d Scene was to get the "lead witness" for the bad guys trial safely on a wagon and out of town… well that ended badly as JD ran up and gave her both barrels of his sawed off shotgun! It was very sad loss as she was "Ma Wendt" Marshall Charles' mom. Outlaw victory…

The 3rd scene was 4 lawmen seeking revenge on 7 Outlaws who took over the town after killing ma Wendt. Mad Dog Malcolm ran out of a bldg. with six guns blazing and quickly killed Marshall Charles and Deputy Fatso.

The New Kent Kid (Zach) and his deputy on the other side of town went after the Outlaw gang boss the "bama" (JD) and 5 of his compatriots! Killing two of them with his Winchester 76. The game ended in a draw due to 2100 time limit.

It was fun learning the mechanics of the game and how to use both figure tactics and the deck cards that are used both for initiative and special actions (screw your buddy cards!) The special action cards were slow to throw the first game and a half…but halfway through the 2nd scene they were flying across the table with a "take that you varmint!"

We will play again next week using character sheets and the campaign system…

Since it was the first game we let the guys play with whatever weapons the figure had on the model. Next week we play the rules which limits number shot guns and rifles… also the quality of the figures will be mixed up.

Think outlaw "Boss" JD missed more with his shotgun than he hit last night? The New Kent Kid (Zach) was pretty deadly with his colt pistols!

Believe Marshal Charles had the most "notches" in his stock as he took out a number of bad guys last night. Including the "quick" shot that killed Mad Dog Malcolm…but while Mad Dog was falling to the ground he too killed the Marshal with his dying shot from his six shooter!

Marshal Charles should had listen to "Ma Wendt" when she said "son never turn you back on a dying desperado!!!!!"
