Skeptical but hopeful, too.

Are they going to discover a new race that worships the show and thinks its real?? The aliens from the movie know better now…. very skeptical, but it could work with the right showrunner and a decent cast.

I'll watch, if it comes to fruition.

Skeptical at best, as well. But we all know we'll buy the miniatures when they come out :)

Well now, that's unfortunate.

My inner redshirt is screaming something about "It's a spin-off! Is there a good series out there? You don't know!" but I'm inclined to wait and see rather than assuming it'll be terrible. It might turn out well.

It probably won't, but it would have to be really bad to retroactively ruin one of the best Star Trek films ever made.

By Grabthar's Hammer, at least spell the name right lol :)

It's still going to be better than nemesis (the star trek movie that didn't deserve the "star trek" title).

Agreed. And the last two JJ Abrams one's don't even get that far…

Wasn't much of a Galaxy Quest fan (watched it once: it was ok but nothing more).

A series – especially from Paramount – amounts to cannibalism.
