I'm attempting to put together a Saite Egyptian army but am stumped about chariot use during the period. Any help would be appreciated.

Field of Glory army book Immortal Fire pages 21-22 Late Dynastic Egyptian. The army list requires 4 bases and allows up to 12 heavy chariots armed with bows for the 26th dynasty only.

DBMM have the chariots as an option from 664 BC(roughly contemporary to the start of the hoplite period) down to 525 BC (Persian invasion).

Light chariots are long gone but you can have up to 9 heavy line chariots along with up to 4 chariot generals (one being an ally).

Do you have a particular manufacturer in mind?

No, figures are undecided yet. Its a surprisingly diverse army but not a lot of manufacturers design for it. Any suggestions?

Early Greek hoplites, Egyptian marines, Skythian horse archers, and Libyan javelin men from early Achaemenid Persian ranges. Maybe Nubian archers from New Kingdom Egyptian range.

Like others have said there is stuff in many Persian lines that would do. In 15mm Essex and Magister Militum make a specific range

I'm looking for 25/28mm but thanks for the heads up. Specifically interested in the native Egyptian military castes and the machimoi.

Did you ever settle on a line of figures?

I find myself collecting 28mm figures in the Persian Wars period, and I'm interested in the possibilities of some Saitic Egyptians as well.

I'm going with Assyrian image for their chariotry given that the kingdom was built up as an Assyrian client state.

I think a Persian chariot body would be good. There are supposed Late Egyptian figures on a Cypriot silver patera (dish) . they are wearing light robes with many pleats and carry hoplon style shids and bundles of javelins or are archers.
There are also cavalry shown.

Have a look at Eureka and Sgt Major – they have some later Egyptian infantry that might be useful.
