It was, and it was a news item. They are lovely sculpts to paint, I am part way through my first battalion, and hoping the next nationalities come out from Eureka soon!

Could the infantry be painted as WSS French?

daler240D21 Apr 2015 11:11 a.m. PST

NOT close to AB in quality, unfortunately. Would love to do WSS in 18mm…

The closet WSS to AB quality is from Khurasan. There isn't a 15/18mm mfg that's close to their quality.

Lovely!
I've just finished a book (historical fiction) about the siege of Barcelona in 1714.
It was a great read, and I might be interested to "get into it"…

They may not be AB quality (what is), but they are nice animated sculpts that paint easily and well. I am more than happy with them.

Certainly my Catalans will do double duty as French.

agreed, Fredd. my comment wasn't meant to be unfair or unprovoked. I just made it because on the website they claimed as much.

FreddBloggs22 Apr 2015 7:45 a.m. PST

Ahhhh I wasn't meaning that you were being unfair, just that despite not meeting that claim by Eureka, they were nice to paint and do the job.

I quite fancy getting some of these, but I'm a total novice when it comes to the WSS. I've been building 32 man Napoleonic battalions and would like to build an infantry unit the same size of these figures, but what would the make up of a battalion like that be? How many grenadiers etc?
