"You may have noticed that Westwind/Forged in Battle have been quiet for a while…

Thanks to a very successful Kickstarter campaign last year (359 backers, £53,687.00 GBP pledged), Andy, Wendy and the team at Westwind have been busy sculpting a brand new range of 15mm Ancients figures for their War & Empire range…"

Are these true 15mm, eg that would match Essex 15mm, or are they larger 18mm types??

First thoughts are that they are a little dramatically posed for my tastes (windswept helmet crests, cloaks and such), but I think you could get used to that pretty quickly.

Hope they do really well. It's great to see such a comprehensive selection of figures put out so quickly.

I did the kickstarter and have the Punic Wars Romans and Gauls, they are great figures and will fit in very well with Corvus Beli and Essex I think.

I was also in on the Kickstarter and received a collection of Numidians that I'll be painting for Impetus. Models are exquisite, it has to be said. However, I find the Numidian cavalry a little small compared to Corvus Belli. I think they would blend more readily with Essex and some of the truer of the 15mm scale manufacturers.

Anyone in the US carry this range?

Looks to be a really fantastic range. I am actually looking forward to the building/camp models.

I got bags of Caesarian Romans, Classical Greeks, and Sarmatian Cavalry. I've only painted up some of the Romans and Greeks and they are some excellent minis.

I was in on the Kickstarter and have NO reservations.

As mentioned above, is there a US stockist for these figures?
