OK, looking at a new Tank platoon list for Germans and came up with a 1K list. Skdz 222 X 3 Skdz 250/11 w/Pzb41 X2 Skdz 251/1 W/PzB41 Pioneer squad Problem is… No Warlord models for the 250/11's or 251/1 with the PzB41. There is a later 250 without the gun and a 251 with the Pak36 37mm but then I wold have to buy 3 metal guns with crews.
Sooo…anyone else make a 1/56 scale Skdz 250/11 and 251/1 with the Pzb41's???

Warlord's 221 models come with the Pzb41 as an option; I guess buying 3 extra 221s is uneconomical. You may be able to use the Pzb41s they sell with FJ crews, or you could simply ask them if they'd sell you the 221 guns for the 250 and 251 -- I have found them extraordinarily accomodating about such requests. |

Send Warlord Games a note about what you want to build. They'll sell you the PzB41 to go on your half tracks. I wanted a Cromwell CS, so I sent Warlord a message about buying a Cromwell kit and the howitzer from the Centaur CS kit. After dry fitting the parts to make sure they worked, Warlord dispatched the order and it arrived in Nebraska promptly. Now I just need to pull it out and paint it. |

Been searching around and researching the tracks. Warlords list has the 251/1 with the PzB41 as a option only with Pioneers. BUT they produce a 251/7C Pioneer track with that option. I guess that would work. As for the 250/11 you will need to take a 250/1 or 250/10 and switch out the PzB41. Also as with any military vehicle I am sure there were field mods made unoffically all the time. As an added monkeywrench I found a source that stated the 251/6 would switch out the pak 36 37mm for the PzB 41….sigh…it keeps getting better. |

Another interesting tidbit. According to "German tanks of WWII" By F.M. Von Senger Und Etterlin the Sdkfz 222 Armored car had a variant mounting the PzB41 instead of the 20mm aa gun. It even has a picture of one. Interesting. |

Warlords contacted me and something is in the works…more later. But further research has brought out one issue with my idea. Warlords has the 250 Neu versions brought out in October of 1943 and DAK surrendered in May of 1943 so would need the 250 Alte version. No big deal though just make it as 21st PD at Normandy instead of 21st in Tunisa. |

Hey… My article and Conversion on the SdKfz 250/11 hit he Warlords site today. Only 1 slight error…I reported DAK surrendering in 1942 and it should have been 1943 and the same with the Neu model coming out…My correction to Warlord never made it to the article before print. Well…thet will learn me to look closer before hitting send.
Enjoy
