I have a Tutee who can do this! She's VERY graceful! But to be fair, not very blue. I think the painter probably meant to evoke the proximity of Sri Krishna, who is somewhat blue, and being divine, glows. |

I'm with Lebiter. The Krishna connection is pretty clear. I like it. Unfortunately, my Indian armies are all in 15mm.

I find this figure VERY well done and VERY interesting. Obviously the inspiration is from the Middle Indian and Tamil area. The sculptor has followed many of the stylization of temple statuary, which Is of course different from our Western concepts. Not bad at all. The only complaint is that she is a little bit long waisted, but it's a minor quibble at best. |
