It looks to be perfect weekend for wargaming. Temp will be in the high 50s all weekend. Does not look like alot of rain is expected. So I am looking forward to seeing all that attend. Old Glory/Blue Moon has made an amazing Viking Shild Maiden figure for us. They are providing us with 500. All those that pre-registered will receive one, the remaining will be given out as the supply lasts. Vendors: Ceasar's 10th Dayton Painting Consortium Enterprise Games Games Plus George Knapp Good Ground LLC Knuckleduster Publications Last Square Lost Battalion Games Musashi Enterprises Old Glory/Blue Moon Penguin Fiber Arts Recreational Conflict Rick Carlile Military Books The Nafzinger Collection Over 200 games/events listed in the PEL, and there were several late additions. About 1/3 of those that attend pre-register. Event tickets for games become available 2 hours prior to scheduled start. If tickets are gone, talk with the GM to see if he can get you in. Flea Market/War College/Parent Child Games There will also be a USO Silent Auction, with some really nice items being auctioned off. All proceeds will go to the USO. |

I'm excited to be there with my son. He goes off to college in the Fall, so this will be my last chance to attend Little Wars with him (at least for awhile). I got him into games when he was 8 (10 years ago now!) at Little Wars and we've only missed a few when we were living out in Boston. It's will be a bittersweet year for me to attend, and I can't wait, but it will be over all too soon for me, I fear! |

I do hope you both have a great time, maybe he will convert others while at college. The parent/child games are always a good feature of the convention. So what games do you both plan on playing in? |

Thanks, lasalle012. I honestly don't recall what we registered for. There's a ton of great looking games this year, so I'm sure we'll have fun. We're pretty flexible. I'm partial to WWII, as well as Air and Naval Combat (the latter post 1880), but we'll play anything. I've run a few games with him over the years, but we didn't have time to set up anything for this year. It'll be fun just to play. |

I'm getting ready to head down Thursday night with the kid. We were just doing some recon on places to eat. |

Yes, you can find the PEL at hmgsmidwest.com just go to the Little Wars tabs. We also purchased 12 Cigar Box Battle Mats for use at the convention. So if anyone wants to do some open gaming they can check one out. There is a great mix of games this year, and one I am excited to see is Marks Sword Beach game…the pics I have seen are great. Battle Badgers will be there as well, they will run FOW demo games & they are bringing their Point Du Hoc game. I think theres looks better than mine in it is one piece board. Mine was done in three sections. |

Hey Jeff- I received confirmation of my registration some time back, but it did not specify which games I got into. Was there a second mailing that I missed, or do I not find out until I check in? |

shtar - I know there is some that goes on at Games Plus in Mount Prospect. Nothing organized (yet) but there are a number of players who are there from time to time. If you are at the con, stop by our booth and we can give you a hand getting in contact with them. Otherwise you can drop me a note and I'd be happy to help. |

Are the costs to get in this year the same as it was last year? Someone was trying to tell me that there is a lower cost if you just want to go in and look around or shop. I can't find anything about that on the website. |
Striker | 22 Apr 2015 4:21 p.m. PST |
I'm interested in the answer Tom gets. My wife won't be playing any games but would like to walk around the dealer hall. |

If your wife or someone wants to just look there is no charge. |

The costs are the same this year as last…..who ever told you you can shop for free was wrong. |
