No not actually as tabletop opponents, but for help in my painting. So I have a platoon of 28mm figures in kevlar PASGT helmets, armed with FN FALs wearing the british style '58 webbing. My options are to paint them up as brazilians in that funky purplish lizard camoflage, or do I paint them up in olive drab as Nigerians? I am leaning towards Nigerians with the last decade of African Union, Amisom, UN and Boko Haram fights. They seem to have more oppurtunity for tabletop use than Brasilian UN type ops. What do you think? Any other options? |

I would go for Nigerians too. They are just likely to see more action ;). |

Brazil vs Nigeria … Hmm. Why don't we just simply decide wars with soccer matches? Dan |

I think Nigerian/African Union miniatures would be more useful, but don't Nigerians wear uniforms in woodland camo style? |

How many do you have, troopwo? I'm honestly kinda interested in the purplish lizard camo for the Brazilians, to tell you the truth, but the Nigerians would definitely see more action. Brazilians really only seem to fight drug dealers and the poor living in favelas. |

Dodge the purple camo, paint them like this….. link They can serve as Nigerian JTF or Brazilian police in 'favela ops'….. link |

That dark lizard pattern looks a nightmare to paint. I already have a few platoons worth of various african troops. One platoon of Stan Johansens Iraquis painted in french CE which is near identical to woodland. Another platoon of Mongrel Pakistanis painted as Kenyans in DPM. I know I have seen every cam pattern and even solid uniform colour under the sun used by the Nigerians, so I thought that olive green would actually be different for me. Lion, look for a PM on the way. |
