"During the SOFINS 2015, the Special Operations Forces Innovation Network Seminar and exhibition, the French Army Special Forces "Commandos Marine" members of the COS (Special Operations Command) have performed for the first time to the public and international press a live demonstration to show the military capacties of this unit on the beach of Arcachon in France.

The Commandos Marine are the special operation forces of the French Navy. They are made up of some 600 members plus support, mostly based in northwestern France (Brittany), with several bases across the country for specific training needs. The Commandos Marine are nicknamed bérets verts (Green Berets). They operate under the Naval Riflemen and Special Operations Forces Command (ALFUSCO) and form part of the French Special Operations Command (COS).

The Commandos Marine are the French equivalent of the US Navy SEALs or the British Special Boat Service (SBS)…"

Pretty good I've heard. How they stack up with US SF, Delta, SEALs, SAS, SBS, etc. … I'd say pretty close.

Joking aside, French units are very good and all allied command crosstrain their special forces with each other in orxer to share ideas, tactics and techniques.
