My adventure with this project has come to an end. I cannot wait to see it opened on Anzac Day (25th April). If you visit NZ this is a must see on your itinerary. We had a walk through by a group hosted by Sir Peter Jackson that included the Governor General, the PM and a host of Ministers of the Crown. Once again the kiwis put us to shame. The Gallipolli commemorations in the west isle are built for a bogan audience. |

I seriously doubt the efforts here would have amounted to much either if it wasn't for Peter Jackson and his passionate interest in WW1 history. Local initiatives would have still happened and good on them but big ticket items – probably not. |
