Those of us who have been lamenting the absence of David Wilson's Jacdaw range of 28/30mm WAS figures since they emigrated to Australia can now be greatly cheered by their imminent re-appearance.

link tells it all – and note the A$2 a figure price for the pre-release period, and post-free world wide for orders over A$200 (just over £100.00 GBP).
Drew will be producing a full list soon. There are some new figures like the miquelets already previewed here. If you're interested, contact Drew directly on: info@siegeworksstudios.com.au
until the website has been updated.

Anyone who's read David's recent book on the French army in the WAS will realise that these figures are designed with a real feel for and knowledge of the period.

Thanks John for your kind words. Yes Dave Woolford purchased this delightful range from David Wilson but has been unable to do much with it as a result of personal matters and very ill family. However, Dave is a battler and not to disappoint the Jackdaw30 WAS fans he came to me to see if I could help out. Well being as personal mate of mine I was more than happy to take over the daily operations of the business. I am now ploughing through the 50+ molds, sorting and making records so that they are ready for production and sale ASAP. I happy to spin up requests from customers who already know the range intimately. However a brief bit of patience over the next week or so while I sort the molds out.

Due to complete failure to post pictures any larger than small from photobucket etc please follow the piccies and posts on our Facebook page link where there is already a load of photos. Apologies to those not yet on FB. I will endevour to learn the ropes so I can post large pictures here :)

Just posted on the FB page some pictures of the new Spanish Miqelets. Very fine!

Excellent news. Hope they'll be doing the British Footguards.

Nadir Shah18 Apr 2015 2:20 a.m. PST

Duc the next few days I am working on spinning and organising the British molds so will let you know what is there soon!

Many thanks. The Footguards were never produced when Jacdaw was owned by Old Glory UK but I did see a superb green that David Wilson had done which was shown on the Glorious Little Soldiers blog. So I'm not sure whether they ever got as far as making the moulds. I'll certainly be keeping an eye on the Siege Works page; already lots of interesting figures that I hadn't seen before.

Hmmm ok. I know Dave Woolford has a bucket load of greens lying around so maybe it is in there :)

Oh and while I am at it announcing points of interest! I am happy to announce that Caliver books will be looking after Siege Works Studios 28mm Hanoverian SYW range for UK/EU customers. I sent the figures over this week so I am not sure he will have them at Salute but definitely will be able to purchase our 28mm Hanoverian range from Caliver thereafter :) Save a bucket on postage that way :)

Duc de Brouilly18 Apr 2015 3:28 a.m. PST

It would be great if Caliver did the same for Jacdaw. grin

Thanks John and good news with Drew being able to get this up and running while I'm relegated to chasing my own tail

Duc good and bad news, the foot guard were started but did not progress very far. As time permits I will chase up what was actually done as far as molding is concerned. As I have recently, very carefully, sorted all the molds for handing over to Drew I can say with some confidence (unfortunately) that very little progress had been made, I'll see what can be done to fill out your recruiting roster.

There are existing figures which need attention and greens to be started and I hope I can make progress with most of these this year, unfortunately due to a family illness my schedule is at the mercy of… well it changes from day to day. As such I will now confine myself to behind the scenes with molding, conversions and repairs time permitting. I have every confidence in Siege Works Studios ability to handle the front end of the business in style.

Duc de Brouilly20 Apr 2015 4:50 a.m. PST

Thanks Left Bank and Siege Works. I enquired about the Foot Guards, partly because they look like being really nice figures but also because they had their lapels open, i.e., showing the facing colour. The Jacdaw British line that I've got are described as in 'campaign dress' and all have their lapels buttoned over.

Anyway, I will watch developments with interest and am happy to wait.

Gents,

I will have a catalogue, (sorry no pics yet) for release on Tuesday for the range of 28mm WAS miniatures. Thanks for your patience.

Cheers
Drew
