While at my local flea market I bought two large cartons of 1/72 planes. Mostly WW1 but some WW 2 planes in there as well. I counted 52 models, with a lot of Airfix, some in the old, old boxes. Heller, Revelle, Monogram and others. The Monograms are of interest because they don't have zip codes in the address. They are that old. I was told this was old store stock from a model shop and it looks it. Anyway the RENWAL have a series of fighter pilot planes with names like Alfred Lenz, Ludwig Hnstein Capt Springer and Capt or Lt Guynumers. I do not collect these and no nothing about them. Any info would be appreciated. |

Guynumers [sic] is probably the WW1 French fighter ace Georges Guynemer link . Lenz was a German WW1 ace as was Ludwig Hanstein link . There may be some value in them if sold separately or in bundled batches. Check out eBay. Good luck, Jim |

RENWAL did a series of 12 plastic kits: link The first issue of the kits included their exclusive Aero-Skin fabric that could be applied to the fuselage and skeletal wings with liquid glue. A neat idea for pre-printed camo that unfortunately didn't work all that well. Though I still have one of their Sopwith Triplanes on my shelf. Also see this review of the Alb. D.V link |

I had a Renwal Pfalz when I was about 12. I liked the "fabric" covering, even though now I probably would see through it, as it were. Then it was wonderful! They were very expensive as far as I remember. |
