Looking to add some Libyan Colonial Troops to my WW2 Italians. Most of my figs are BTD and the old Warlord scale, so I would prefer minis that scale well with them (a little undersize is fine, since they're basically poor, malnourished levy). I was thinking about using Askari Miniatures Libyan Askari but would like to try and find figures both on foot and mounted on camels, if possible. |

You might have to go with Colonial-era meharistas: link I'm guessing a little green stuff will hide any anachronisms. |

camel mounted meharists were basically a police force . from what can be read in the Fezzan campaign accounts, in military actions, even the "meharists" were "motorized cavalry" , for historical accuracy, a Fiat 634 will work ;o) . ( and yes, i dream of camel mounted meharists, and it's a dream ). |
