1/72 question – there is a real lack of suitable late Napoleonic Prussian heavy cavalry, so ned to find alternatives. This is for wargaming so close enough is good enough. Russian dragoons from HaT maybe? Or maybe? And I as the Prussian cuirassier comb more like the late Russian tall comb, or the ealier caterpillar style? Horses to suit saddles? All help gratefully received please

From what I can tell, it looks like the Zvezda Russian Curassiers (set 8026) would do the trick. That is if you can still find them in your neck of the woods!

But you may want to try Newline Designs 20mm metal as an alternative. I needed hussars and uhlans for my plastic army and went with Newline. They are a bit smaller, but on the table they look fine. Nice figures as well.

For my taste Newline are a bit small, but I notice that SHQ,/Kennington don't make them. Not at Waterloo so no interest maybe?

But are you saying that the helmet crest is the late Russian style? The cuirass would be an issue so feels like. Onversions needed

@Marc- Yes, to me the crest looks the same, though the Prussian plume seems to have a bit more banana in it, but that is a minor issue.

Still on ebay so conversions a possibility – zvezda hats and horses with hat russian dragoon bodies maybe

Ugh! Canīt you just use a liberal amount of paint to cover them up??? evil grin

Maybe but those zvezdas are pretty nice figures with a lot of detail so not sure it would work. But "ugh" grin
