For my Widow Moore's Creek and King's Mountain projects. And just because they are cool to have.

I first got started renewing my interest in these when I got some sample King's Mountain Over Mountain Men, and some sample heads which included the stiffened Highlander military bonnet.
So, I ordered a full unit with those heads.
I am also adding ANY Jacobites with broadsword to the mix. Yes, yes, I know. I know that I have argued in the past that any North Carolina Highlanders are unlikely to have worn kilts or tartan trews, but I want to go with these, if only to get some Highlanders for the '45 stalled project finished! grin

Anyway, I was sorting figures that had been pulled from their parking garage into figures for a specific game and never put away. Then I noticed that I have a lot of FIW Rangers in flat bonnets, and various backwoods garb.

So, my request is for recommendations for any 18th Century backwoodsmen wearing flat Scotch bonnets. (Scots bonnets?)
They can be wearing ordinary civilian coats, hunting shirts, loose smock, etc, As long as they have a musket and a flat bonnet. Even Jacobite figures that can pass for American militia with a paint job.
Note that I am rather laissez faire about compatibility

War of 1812 and Mountain Men suggestions will be considered too.

I think there are several suitable figures wearing bonnets in the 25mm OG F&IW Colonial Militia bag. It might be the Frontiersmen bag.

OK, I have some of those.

Take a look at Galloping Major's FIW RAN 2 – Anglo-American Rangers wearing Scots Bonnets. They are large 28s but very nice figures.

According to the dusty Moore's Bridge diorama at the park, a couple of guys wore kilts..:)

Been a bunch of years and I was the only visitor for the day. The park ranger was so happy to see a person!
